
Thomas William Selleck is an American actor from the United States. His most famous part was as Thomas Magnum, a private investigator in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988) and for which he was awarded five Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead actor in the Drama Series and won in 1985. Since 2010, Selleck has been co-starring as New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. Beginning in 2005, he has portrayed the troubled police chief of a small town Jesse Stone in nine television films that were based on the Robert B. Parker novels.In films, Selleck has played bachelor architect Peter Mitchell in Three Men and a Baby (1987) and its sequel Three Men and a Little Lady (1990). From the time of Magnum, P.I., he has appeared in over 50 roles on TV and in films, including the films Quigley Down Under, Mr. Baseball, and Lassiter.
